Dolores Eberle, Clarks Summit, died Friday at Allied Hospice, Scranton. She was the widow of Stephen Eberle, who died in 2007.

Born in Evans City, Pennsylvania in 1942, she was the daughter of the late Henry D. and Pauline Enslen Barkey, Jr.

Prior to retirement, she was employed by Dempsey's Laundry Service for over 25 years. She was a member of Evangelical Free Baptist Church, South Abington Township. She had a love of life and people and, at one time, she was the head of Ministry at the Golden Living Center in Tunkhannock. For the past ten years, she also worked as a Senior Companion at Telespond.

Surviving are three sons: Stephen, Timothy, and Daniel Eberle; daughter Deborah Hernandez; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; brother Terry Barkey; sister Susan Lumley; and her dear friend, Dan Sokoloski.

She was preceded in death by a brother Henry D. Barkey III.

A memorial service will  be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 418 S. State Street, Clarks Summit, with services by Michael Measley, pastor of Evangelical Free Bible Church.  Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Clarks Green Cemetery.
