Dolores G. Bray

Dolores G. Merkel Bray, age 99, currently of Parkhouse Providence Point, Royersford, PA and a longtime resident of Mill City, PA, died Monday, January 26, 2015. She was the widow of George J. Leuthe, Sr. who died in 1956, and Ezra W. Bray who died in 1998.

Dolores, daughter of the late Lawrence and Clara Claus Merkel, was born in Scranton, PA on October 21, 1915. She was a member of St. Mary of the Lake Church, Lake Winola, a member and past president of the Lake Winola Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, and a member of the After 50 Club. Dolores retired from the Gourmet Restaurant in Chinchilla after many years of serving breakfast to her friends and family.

She is survived by her daughters, Jane M. Ayers, Milwaukee, PA and Dolores L. Reigh, King of Prussia, stepdaughters Esther Jacques and her husband, Carl, Mill City, Mildred Zimmerman, Tunkhannock, Blanche Colbenson, and her husband Robert, Tunkhannock, stepdaughter-in-law Audrey Bray, Scranton, son-in-law Alan Miles, Florida, and daughter-in-law Cathy J. Leuthe, Allentown.

Dolores is also survived by her 29 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren, 20 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sons, George J. Leuthe, Jr., James L. Leuthe and infant Joseph, daughter Peggy Dunn Miles, stepsons Arthur and Donald Bray, grandchildren Abby Ayers and Grace Bray Kelly, sisters Frances Bone, Peg VonAhrens, and Romayne Merkel, and brother Edward Merkel.

A Blessing Service will be held at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit, Pa 18411 on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. Interment in Abington Hills will be at the convenience of the family.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:00 to 2:00 P.M. on Saturday.
