Dolly Merritt, 84, of Nicholson, died Tuesday morning at home after a long term of Dementia. She was the wife of Wesley Merritt, the couple had been married for 66 years.

Born in Lenox, PA she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Dorothy Maas Compton.

Prior to retirement Dolly was a piano teacher and secretary. She was a member of Parker Hill Community Church.

Also surviving are four sons, Pastor Ray and his wife Ginny Edmeston, NY, Ronald and his wife Shawnie, Duluth, GA, Jamin and his wife Kathy, Nicholson, and Mark, Port Chester, NY; seven grandchildren, Ann Elyse, Hans, Valarie, Jason, Marcello, Nicholas, and Gianna; four great grandchildren, Kodie, Jaron, Odin, and Cyrus; a sister Joyce Wescott and her husband Wayne, Nicholson.

A graveside service will be held on Friday at noon in the Milwaukee Cemetery and a memorial service will be held Saturday at 11am at the Parker Hill Community Church, 607 N. Abington Rd. Clarks Summit Pa. 18411.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 4pm to 7pm at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home & Cremation Svc., 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit, PA.
