Debra L. Plantholt

Debra L. Plantholt, 62, of Clarks Green, passed away at home on the morning of Nov. 29, 2021. She was the wife of William E. Plantholt since 1989.

Debbie was born on Dec. 12, 1958 in Bellmawr, New Jersey. She was the daughter of the late John C. and Dolores E. Holt. Debbie was a loving wife and mother and had outpouring compassion when it came to caring for those close to her. She dedicated the last seven months of her life to be an in-home caregiver for her mother, who passed away earlier this month.

Debbie was always a very hardworking person and did everything she encountered at 110%. She began her career in the culinary arts at the young age of 14, working at Jane Plantholt's Terrace Restaurant. She was also known for owning a popular local bakery. Before retirement, she worked at the Veterans Hospital as a dietary supervisor.

She enjoyed gardening, listening to music, watching television shows and movies and spending time with friends and family.

Surviving are her husband, Bill Plantholt; and daughter, Olivia Plantholt; a brother, John Holt and wife, Rose; sisters, Tammy VanFleet and husband, Brian; and Wendy Babushko and husband, Carl; as well as several nieces and nephews. Debbie also has many family members in Gloucester City, New Jersey.

She was also preceded in death by her beloved sister, Kelly Holt.

There will be no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 418 South State St., Clarks Summit.
