Debbie Dixon

Debbie Dixon, 74, of Falls passed away Friday, September 18, 2026, at the Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She is preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Leonard Dixon in 2014.

Born on December 14, 1951, in Scranton, she is the daughter of the late Walter and Margaret Wheeler.

For many years, Debbie worked at Tyler Memorial Hospital as an Emergency Room Administrative Assistant until 2008. She was also part of Tyler Memorial Hospital's 601 Paramedic Unit, where she served as both a driver and onboard EMT.

Her commitment to emergency service extended far beyond her career. Debbie served as Captain of the ambulance services for both the Lake Winola and Falls volunteer fire companies for more than 10 years. She was a lifetime member of the fire company and proudly served for many years as an EMT.

Debbie was a member of West Falls Baptist Church. When she was not helping others, she enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her grandchildren. Her grandchildren held a very special place in her heart, and the time she shared with them brought her great happiness.

She is survived by her sons, Leonard and wife Jennifer, Patrick Dixon and wife Margaret, Casey Dixon and wife Chileska; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her brother, Tommy Wheeler; sisters, Anita Hogan and Harriet Wheeler Green.

The family would like to thank the caring staff at the Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for all they did for Debbie and taking great care of her. We are forever grateful.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Debbie's memory can be made to the charity of your choice.

As per Debbie's wishes there will be no funeral services.
