Dayna Ruth Roberts

Dayna Ruth Roberts, 19, of South Abington Twp., died Thursday evening from injuries suffered in an automobile accident.

Born in Scranton, daughter of George and Lorrie Chubb Roberts, South Abington Twp., she was a lifelong resident of the Abingtons area. She was a graduate of Abington Heights High School, class of 2009, and had just completed her first semester at Keystone College. She was employed by the Pretzel Factory in Dickson City. Dayna was a member of Chinchilla United Methodist Church and had danced with the Civic League Dance Academy for 16 years.

Also surviving are two brothers, Steven and Bryan Roberts, at home; paternal grandparents, George and Ruth Roberts, Willow Grove; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Herbert and Margaret Chubb.

Dayna brought love and happiness to all of the lives she touched. She always had a smile on her face and knew how to enjoy life to the fullest. Taken away from us way too early in life, she will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. from Chinchilla United Methodist Church, 411 Layton Road, Chinchilla, with services by the Rev. Anthony Schwartz, pastor. Interment will be in Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.

Friends may call at the church on Monday from 3 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure , 311 Mulberry St., Scranton, PA 18503.
