David Joseph Stivala, 55, died Dec. 27 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center, Shelby N.C.
Born June 12, 1958, in Scranton, son of the late William Stivala and Jean Grill DeMarco, David was superintendent of the city of Lowell, N.C., for nearly seven years.
In addition to his mother, David is survived by his wife, Michele Stivala; and daughter, Samantha Stivala, both at home; stepchildren, Donald Daniels, Cherryville, N.C.; David Daniels, Charlotte, N.C.; brothers and sisters, William, Edward, Kenneth, Lisa, Veronica and Wayne Stivala and Michele Parfitt; and five grandchildren.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his stepdad, Adrian DeMarco; and nephew, Tyler Jopchak.
Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia, N.C. -
