David P. Miller, 61, of South Abington Twp., died Wednesday morning at Regional Hospital of Scranton. His wife of 38 wonderful years is Debra Powell Miller.
Born in Scranton, son of Bertram C. and Helen E. Grahamer Miller, he was a graduate of Central Dauphin High School in Harrisburg and attended Harrisburg Area Community College. Before retirement, he was an account executive for Wesco Distribution Inc.
David lived life to the fullest. Before his illness, he enjoyed trap shooting, hunting and riding his motorcycles. His main passion in life was his sons. David was a part of every activity that his sons were involved in, never missing an opportunity to spend time with them. You could find him at Boy Scout functions, swim meets, baseball games and ATV races with the boys.
Also surviving are two sons, Daniel and wife Karen, Pittston; and Doug and wife Tia, Plymouth; a brother, Richard Miller and wife Toni, Houston; two sisters, Marion Gussett and husband James, Frederica, Del.; and Linda Fry, Dillsburg; four granddaughters, Emily, Abigail, Madelyn, and Kaydence; several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be private at the convenience of the family. The family will receive visitors at their home on Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m.
