Clarks Green

Listen to Obituary
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Dave, our loving and devoted husband, dad, friend, and Grampa on November 10, 2021.
David Malvern Koehler , Clarks Green, passed away after a short illness at age 74.  He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth Ann (Hepburn) Koehler ; daughter, Beth Ann Foyle and her husband, Anthony; son, David Scott Koehler and his wife, Ilena, granddaughters; Laragh Elizabeth Foyle, Kate Bronwyn Foyle, and Maya Christina Koehler ; and many wonderful friends.
Dave was born in Pottstown, PA and was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret (LeBaron) Koehler and Malvern David Koehler ; and sisters, Carol Koehler and Gladys Yale.
Dave met his wife, Beth, at age 15 at a barn dance, a moment they always remembered.  Together, they led a very full life.  Dave served two terms in Vietnam as a radioman on the destroyer, Decatur, and on various river patrol boats.  Upon return he started his successful small business, Copyfax, while raising two small children.  Somehow, during this time, Beth and Dave also moved their home, the Clark Tavern, down the street in 1976, a moment the entire town will never forget.
Dave was never still.  At various times in his life, he enjoyed archery, skiing, fly tying and fly fishing, shooting, mushrooming, cooking, and canoeing.
But most of all he adored his family and instilled in them strong work ethics and values that have served them well.  His passing has left a hole in his family and friends that will never be filled.
A celebration of life will be held at a date and location to be announced.
