David J."Chicago" LeBahn Sr., 75 of So. Abington Twp., died Wednesday evening at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the husband of the late Helen Haggerty LeBahn who died in 2007.

Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late John F. H. and Grace Foresman LeBahn. He was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School, and attended Johnson Technical School for machinist training. He was a proud U. S. Navy veteran. Prior to his retirement, he was machinist for Eureka Security and Printing Co. He was a member of the Abington Memorial VFW Post #7069, Clarks Summit.

He was an avid car lover, train collector and proud grandfather, who was loved by all who knew him. He was a active member of the Villa Capri Cruisers.

Surviving is his step mother, Helen LeBahn; a son David J. LeBahn Jr., Boston, MA; two daughters, Ruth Howell and her husband Brian, Montrose, and Margo Grace and her husband Charles, Scranton; a stepbrother Henry Rover and his wife Paula, Scranton; four grandchildren, C.J., James and Elliot Grace and Abigail Howell; a great grandchild, Olivea Grace; a beloved nephew, Scott Carroll; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Tina Carroll; two brothers, Billy and Tom Georgenakus; and son in law Robert Publicover.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Michael Kondash for his years of compassion and devotion to David's care.
A celebration of David's Life, with naval honors, will be held on Saturday at 4:30 from the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit.

The family will receive friends from 2 pm until time of service.
