David Caruso, 65, of S. Abington Twp. died Saturday morning at Geisinger CMC. His wife is the former Kimberly Richards. The couple would have celebrated their 11 th anniversary on December 21.
Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Salvatore and Ida May (Mead) Caruso. He was a proud veteran and served in the US Army during the Vietnam war. Prior to his retirement, David worked as a mechanical engineer for a plastic manufacturing company.
David was a jokester with a heart of gold. He was a great friend to many and would always go out of his way to help those in need. He loved to work on cars in his free time, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family, and especially his grandchildren.
Also surviving are children David Caruso, Alishia Caruso, Robert Caruso, Douglas Caruso, Angela Caruso , Melissa Coggins, Lori Rosengrant, and Jaime Stevens, siblings Paul Caruso (Marion), Jean Marie Caruso , John (Diane) Caruso, and Dennis Caruso; and 19 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother Samuel.
A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday December 4, at 6 pm from Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremations Services Inc. 418 S. State St. Clarks Summit, with Military Honors.
Friends may call Tuesday from 4-6 at the funeral home.
