Dariel Keith Belcher, 90, Clarks Summit, died May 24. She was the beloved wife of 60 years to the late Donald William Belcher.

Dariel grew up in Mahwah, N.J., and spent most of her life in Westfield, N.J. There she was involved in many activities, among them the Westfield Garden Club and the Music Club of Westfield, and she was a longstanding adviser to the Junior Music Club.

She spent the past 50 summers in her beloved Adirondack Mountains, where she enjoyed sketching, painting, swimming, canoeing and visiting with her many friends. She also enjoyed playing pool in Long Lake and playing the Irish tin whistle, taken up in her late 70s.She had a contagious love of life that made her an inspiration to all who met her and a brilliant light of joy to family and friends.

Surviving are her daughter, Dariel Jean Sellers and husband, Jim, Holly Springs, N.C.; son, Donald Richard Belcher, Clarks Summit; a daughter, Sue Penedos and husband, James, Hop Bottom; a son, David T. Belcher, Hop Bottom; and a son, Jonathan Rockwood Belcher and wife, Christine, Long Lake, N.Y.

Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Kimberly Crafton, Ingrid Martinique, Katy Sellers, Jesse Penedos, Colleen Sellers, William Belcher and Amelia Dariel Belcher.

Dariel was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; and her sister, Dorothy Jane Todd.

There will be two memorial services. The first will be June 13 at 3 p.m. in the chapel of the Westfield Presbyterian Church in New Jersey. The second will be July 25 at the cemetery in Long Lake, N.Y.

Friends in or near Pennsylvania are welcome to stop by at Dariel's house, 302 E. Greenwood Ave., Clarks Summit, on June 7 from 3 to 6 p.m. to join her family in celebrating her life.
