Daniel R. Griffiths, 56, of North Scranton, died Tuesday unexpectedly.
Born in Scranton, he was the son of late Harold and Mildred Griffiths. He attended the Scranton schools and worked numerous jobs throughout his life. He was a handyman, loved NASCAR and the Steelers. He will be deeply missed by his dog, Max, who was his best friend and with him during his final hours.
Surviving are three sisters, six brothers and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
A memorial service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. from the Salvation Army, 500 S. Washington Ave., Scranton. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services under the direction of Eric T. Parry, F.D.
