Craig Malinauskas, 51, of West Pittston, died on Friday at his father's home in Clarks Summit after a brief illness.

Born in Jacksonville, North Carolina, he was the son of Anthony R. Malinauskas and the late Joyce M. Coggins Malinauskas. He was a 1988 graduate of Abington Heights High School and earned his bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from Pennsylvania State University in 1993. Prior to his illness, Craig worked as a Construction Management Engineer for several companies in St. Louis, Baltimore, Washington, and Atlanta.

Craig was a fan of the New York Yankees and the Dallas Cowboys and he loved the Beatles. He was an avid biker, runner, hiker, and was always busy on one hobby or another, including cooking and brewing his own beer in his "carport quad". He also adored his dogs Zoey and Frank and his late dog, Puddy.

Surviving are his sister, Amy DeLuca and husband, Victor, West Wyoming; brother Michael Malinauskas, Clarks Summit; niece Alina DeLuca; aunts Nancy VanOgtrop and husband John, Barbara Gress and husband Earl, Linda Hill, and Alison Mariani and husband Rennie; and several cousins.

A funeral took place, with services by Karen Rickaby, in Clarks Summit and interment was held at Abington Hills Cemetery, South Abington Township.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 418 S. State Street, Clarks Summit.
