Colette Wright, 60, of Hernando, Fla., died Saturday at the Hospice of the Sacred Heart in Dunmore after a brief illness. Before moving to Florida, she resided in Factoryville.

Born in Scranton, the daughter of the late Donald V. and Evelyn Gow Wright, she was a graduate of Lackawanna Trail's class of 1976. Colette worked as a certified nursing assistant for 31 years. She worked at Abington Manor, Moses Taylor Hospital and Diamond Ridge Rehab Facility in Locanto, Fla.

She loved her grandchildren and children dearly. Colette was proud to live her life in Florida as an independent woman.

Surviving are two sons, Travis and his wife, Kristin, Orange Park, Fla.; and Timothy and his wife, Paula, Old Forge; grandchildren, Morgan and Aiden; four siblings, Edrene Wright, Gregory Wright and his wife, Linda; Norman Wright and his wife, Lora, all of Factoryville; and Dee Ann White, Montrose; six nephews, Greg Jr. and his wife, Joann; Christopher and his wife, Sarah; Matthew, Randy and his wife, Sarah; and Coty, all of Factoryville; and Norman Jr. and his wife, Amanda, Florida; an uncle, Gordon P. Wright and his wife, Ruth, Factoryville; eight great-nieces and nephews and numerous cousins.

She was also preceded in death by her sister, Donita, who died June 29.

Services were held privately by the Rev. Bruce E. Gow and interment followed at the Hickory Grove Cemetery in Waverly.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hospice of the Sacred Heart, 100 Williams St., Dunmore PA 18512 or to the donor's favorite charity.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit.
