Clarence T. Keiper

Clarence Keiper, 84, of Scranton died Friday evening at Lackawanna Health Care Center in Olyphant. He was married to Dorothy Nockein and his former wife, the late Joan Schmidt.

Born in Scranton August 25th 1932,  he was the son of the late Clarence and Susan Rosky Keiper. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a self-employed roofing and siding contractor.   Dad loved to garden and work with his hands on various projects around the house. He would always help less fortunate friends with a warm meal and a place to rest their head for the night. He lived a long life and can now rest in the arms of angels.

Surviving are two sons Timothy and his wife Katrina, Clarks Summit; and Thomas and his wife Crystal, Scranton; four daughters Donna Keiper Houston Tx.; Darla Dunn, Clearwater Fl.; Erica Keiper, Harrisburg; and Elizabeth Aguirre and her husband Daniel, Clarks Summit; a brother Patrick Mulhern; Scranton; three sisters Beatrice Russup, NJ., Ruth Barthold, Olyphant, PA, and Patricia Walenda, Summerville, FL,; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by seven brothers Bill, George, Joe, Jack, Robert, Gene, Ronnie; two sisters, Dorothy Godowski, and Elizabeth Keiper; and a granddaughter, Kendall Madeline Keiper.

We would like to thank Pauline Sokolowsky for her care and friendship to dad throughout the years, and thanks to the many staff for their compassion and hard work on C- 1at Lackawanna Healthcare Center.

Funeral service and interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
