Clara Muro, 81, of Glenburn, died Sunday night at Commonwealth Hospice of NEPA surrounded by her family. Married in 1955, she was the loving wife of Anthony Muro.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Elizabeth Streznetsky Toth. She was a 1951 graduate of Scranton Technical High School and was a member of Our Lady of the Snows Church in Clarks Summit.
Also surviving are a daughter, Donna Zim and her husband, Gary, Overfield Twp.; two sons, James and his wife, Anna, Lake Winola; and Michael, Glenburn Twp.; several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Tony, who died in 1978; a sister, Vilma Baranowski; and two brothers, Stephen and Theodore Toth.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. from Our Lady of the Snows Church, 301 S. State St., Clarks Summit. All those attending are asked to go directly to church. Interment will follow in Cathedral Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Francis of Assisi Kitchen, 500 Penn Ave., Scranton PA 18509, or Susan G. Komen Foundation , 125 N. Washington Ave., Suite 260, Scranton PA 18503.
