Christopher Jason Landi, 39, of Scott Twp., died Wednesday at home.
Born in Scranton, he was the son of Charles D. and Linda Hatfield Landi. He was a 1991 graduate of Lakeland High School and was employed as a cook for many years.
Chris enjoyed golfing, bowling and music. He was an avid fan of the San Francisco 49ers, as well as the Philadelphia Flyers. He also had a great love for animals. He would often bring stray dogs home to care for them. Christopher had a kind and gentle heart. He was dearly loved by his family and will always be in their hearts.
Also surviving are a sister, Amy Landi Grippi; a niece, Jordan Grippi; a nephew, Bentley Turley; uncle and aunt, Wayne and Nancylee Landi, Hilton Head, N.C.; and two cousins, Daniel and Susanna Landi, Hilton Head, N.C.; and fiancée, Melissa Falco.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, G. Ronald and Helen Hatfield; paternal grandparents, Charles and Carmella Landi.
A funeral service will be held Monday at noon at Parker Hill Community Church, Dickson City Campus, 933 Business Route 6, Scranton. Interment will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery, Waverly.
Friends may call Monday from 10 a.m. until time of service at the church.
