Catherine M. Miller

Catherine M. Miller, Clarks Green died Monday evening at the Jewish Home in Scranton.  She was the widow of Joseph Mathew Miller who died on March 12, 1979.

Born in Philadelphia she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Margaret McDyre.  Prior to her retirement she worked for Sears and Roebuck in Philadelphia. She was a member of St. Gregory's Parish in Clarks Green.

She moved to Clarks Green in 2008 to be near her daughter, Nancy, and son in law, Thomas, who were her caregivers.

Surviving are two daughters, Nancy O'Toole, Clarks Green and Janet Conner and husband Raymond, Philadelphia; two sons, Joseph Miller, MA and James Miller and his wife Patricia, Philadelphia; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Stephen Miller; her son in law, Thomas William O'Toole; three brothers, Daniel, Joseph and James McDyre and a sister Margaret McDyre.

The family would like to thank the Jewish Home for the compassionate care given to Catherine.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 11am from St. Gregory's Parish, 330 N. Abington Rd., Clarks Green to be celebrated by Fr. John Lapera, pastor.  Interment will follow at a later date in Philadelphia.

Friends may call on Friday morning from 10am until the time of the mass at the church.
