Carolyn J. Dore

Carolyn J. Dore, 65, of Dalton, died Sunday evening at Golden Living Center in Wilkes-Barre. She was the widow of the late Jon Dore, who died in 1998.

Born in Scranton, daughter of the late John and Catherine Price Mason, she was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School and was employed as a locker room attendant for the Glen Oak Country Club in Waverly.Carolyn enjoyed spending her time at her pool swimming and sunning with her family and especially her twin sister. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Surviving are a daughter, Michelle Dore, Dalton; a son, Jon Dore, Taylor; a sister, Jeanette Seymour, Lake Winola; a grandson, Jon Dore; a special significant other, Frank Scoblick, Dalton; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, John Mason; and a sister, Catherine D'Andrea.

A funeral service will be held Friday at 10 a.m. from Lake Winola United Methodist Church, 326 Maple Drive, Dalton, by the Rev. Mike Baumgardner, pastor. All those attending should go directly to church. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Lake Winola.

Friends may call Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lake Winola United Methodist Church.
