Carol J. Hubbs, 73, of Kingsley, died Tuesday at home after a lengthy illness. Born in Scranton on April 14, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Clayton and Iola (Evans) Tallman and the granddaughter of Theresa and Bill Ranklin.  Carol was a graduate of Edison High School, Edison, New Jersey and worked part time, but devoted herself full time to being a mother. She was a life-time member of the VFW Lenox Post 8488 and its Ladies Auxiliary.

Carol loved going to Canada and camping with her family.  She also loved knitting different things for people and baking for all of her family and friends.

Surviving are two sons, Richie, Kingsley, and Shawn and wife Rose, Alaska; a daughter Joy Marie Rosiska, Colorado; grandchildren John, Sage, Alec, Hunter, Noah, Colbi, and Brayden; sisters Barbara Hinkley, New Milford, Donna Pryslak and husband Danny; nephews Clayton Hinkley and wife Kara and daughter Kayla, New Milford, Judson Hinkley and daughter Theressa, Kingsley, and Kevin Salsman and wife Tonya and family, Falls; nieces Christie Hildebrand and husband Mark and family, Florida, and Linda Compton and daughters, Arizona. Also surviving are several cousins, great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to her parents and grandparents, Carol was predeceased by husband, Jerry Hubbs, brother Richie, sister Joan Mann, brother-in-law Jess Hinkley, nieces Cindy Buono and Sandy Compton, and nephew Jason Hinkley.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.

Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc.
