Carol A. Bartholme, 73, of Newton Township died Monday following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of Neil Bartholme for over 57 years.

Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Sophie (Richter) Huggler.  She was a graduate of Newton-Ransom High School.  Carol worked alongside her husband running the family farm her entire life.  She was a constant at the Scranton Co-Op Farmer's Market for over fifty years and treasured her many friends in the farming community.  Carol truly loved what she did and always had a welcoming greeting for her customers.  She will be remembered by all those she worked with for her pleasant humming.  She was a member of Countryside Community Church.

Also surviving is a son Neil Bartholme and fiancee Tami, Dalton; daughter Natalie Lomeo and husband Sam, Dalton; grandchildren Sammy, Devin, and Ariana; great-granddaughter AnniBella; sister Joan Degilio, Ransom Twp, and sister-in-law Alice Huggler, Florida; devoted friends Patty DeLeo, Suzanne Drumsta, Barb Klipple, and Karen LaCoe; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by brothers Charles, Robert, and Albert Huggler; and sisters Ruth Pasternak, Doris Winters, and Lorraine Fayocavitz;

The funeral will be held on Saturday at 11 am from the Countryside Community Church, 14011 Orchard Dr., Clarks Summit, PA, with services by Rev. Mark Terwilliger, pastor.  Friends may call at the church from 10 am until the time of the service.

In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Countryside Community Church, 14011 Orchard Drive, Clarks Summit, PA  18411.

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit, PA.
