Carmen Delia Arroyo Rivera

Carmen Delia Arroyo Rivera, Scranton, passed away Friday evening at Hospice of the Sacred Heart in Dunmore.

Born in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late William and Carmen Rivera Arroyo.  She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family, especially at Christmas. She loved the holidays, being surrounded by her loved ones. She was a humble, strong, independent and loving woman. She was a warrior and every person who met her was lighted by her strength, her positivity, and her faith.

Surviving is a daughter Yalitza Valentin Arroyo, Scranton; two sons Gustavo W. Valentin Arroyo, Scranton and Angel J. Valentin Arroyo, Moosic; a sister Marilyn Arroyo, Puerto Rico; two brothers Carlos Arroyo, Taylor and Jose W. Arroyo, Puerto Rico; a granddaughter Rosalia Valentin Vasquez.

A funeral will be on Tuesday at 10am from the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit.  Interment will be in Abington Hills Cemetery.

Friends may pay their respects on Monday from 5-7 pm at the funeral home.
