Candis M. Nesgoda

Candis M. Nesgoda, 49, White Haven, died Friday at her home. She was the widow of John Nesgoda, who died in 2012. The couple was married for 28 years.

Born in Scranton, daughter of Diane Lozinger-Keenan, Clarks Summit, and the late John C. Lozinger Sr., she was a graduate of Community Medical Center School of Nursing. She worked for many of the local hospitals as an RN-CCRN. Before her illness, she was an RN-CCRN for Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. She enjoyed gardening, home decorating and especially going on bike rides. Candis loved her cats, and lived her life for them. She was of Catholic faith.

Candis is also survived by a sister, Dianne Carson and her partner, Christine Hamm, Scranton; a brother, Jeffrey Lozinger and his wife, Noel, Clarks Summit; her uncle, Edmund Carr and his wife, Darlene, Clarks Summit; an aunt, who lives in Minnesota, Charlotte Boyle; nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Francis James Keenan and John (Duke) Lozinger; maternal grandparents, Clara and Edmund Carr; her loving aunt, Janet Howells; and an uncle, James Carr.

A blessing service will be held on Tuesday at 4 p.m. in the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit, with services by the Rev. Jeffrey Tudgay, parochial vicar of Our Lady of the Snows Church.

Friends may call on Tuesday immediately after the service from 4:30 until 7.
