Cameron Moore Klinkel, 66, of La Plume, PA died unexpectedly at home this past Tuesday. She is survived by her devoted husband of 42 years, Richard H. Klinkel.

Born in Lumberton, NC, she was the daughter of the late William Patrick Moore and the late Rebecca Marley Moore. Cam was an alumna of Elizabeth City High School, NC and Salem College, Winston-Salem, NC.  Cam became a retiree of Lockheed-Martin Corporation, through their acquisition of Ford Aerospace (Houston, TX) and Loral Corporation (Colorado Springs, CO). Her work on the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Space Transportation System (the "shuttle") and the US Department of Defense (DoD) Strategic Defense Initiative resulted in commendations from NASA and the US DoD. In subsequent years, Cam worked for Cigna Corporation and English Riding Supply, both in Scranton, PA.

While in Colorado, she achieved her dream of owning an Arabian horse and participating in NAHA Class A horse events.  Through the years, her menagerie expanded to include Chincoteague ponies, numerous cats and dogs, a cockatiel, a goat and occasional stray animals that found their way into her heart.  Cam loved animals, but her true love was family, husband Rich; son Robert Klinkel and wife Stephanie Van Deusen Klinkel of Carbondale; daughter Rebecca Davis and husband, Jay Davis, and grandchildren, Jonathon, Mary Rose, Kayla and Jason, all of Clarks Summit.

Also surviving are a brother, Patrick Macleod Moore, Elizabeth City, NC;  brother-in-laws, Jeffrey Klinkel, Dalton; Kenneth Klinkel and wife Doreen, West Abington Township; Mark Klinkel and partner Linda Young, Dickson City; sister-in-law, Gretchen Klinkel Jennings and husband, Dave, Glenburn; mother-in-law, Jeanne Jason Klinkel, Glenburn; and Bradley Cook and sons, Michael and Alex, Factoryville.
