Bruce Toland of Scranton, died Thursday morning at home. His wife is the former Toni Wrightson. The couple were married in 1994.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Charles Anderson and Helen Toland.
Prior to becoming ill, he was an addictions counselor for the Salvation Army. He was a veteran, serving in the Army, and a graduate of Marywood University.
Also surviving are four daughters, Samantha Rose Toland and Emilly Toland, both of Scranton; and Carina Toland and Kendra Toland, both of Old Forge; a son, Charles Toland, Wilkes- Barre; and several brothers and sisters.
A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
