Bob Kerner, 89, of RR 2 Dalton, died Monday morning at the Mountain View Care Center after a brief battle with cancer. His wife of 54 years, Rita Williams Kerner, died in 2001.
Born in Dunmore, son of the late Frederick and Mary Kerner, Bob lived his life in and around the Scranton area. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in Italy and France. He worked at Capitol Records in Scranton for 35 years, until that facility closed, and later was employed at Sandvik Steel in Clarks Summit until retirement.
Surviving are two sons, Robert and William Kerner; and two stepsons, Charles and Guy Illuzzi.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
There will be no services at his request.
