Beverly Holt

Beverly Holt, 98, of Newton Township, died peacefully on Wednesday afternoon at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore. She was the widow of Lloyd Robert Holt, who predeceased her in 1997. The couple had been married 49 years.

Born in Clarks Summit, she was the daughter of the late Levi Roy and Ruth Chivers Lewis. She was a 1946 graduate of Clarks Summit High School and attended Lackawanna Business College. She was a member of Countryside Community Church. Beverly will be remembered as a kind and caring woman to her family and friends.

Surviving are sons Robert Holt and Rick Holt and daughter, Laura Hannigan; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two nieces; and one nephew.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald E. Lewis and James "Dick" Lewis.

Per Bev's wishes, there will be no public services.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., Clarks Summit.
