Betty Jane Novack, Clarks Summit, died Sunday afternoon at Allied Skilled Nursing after a courageous battle with cancer. Her husband of 21 years is Ronald W. Novack.
Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Lawrence and Betty Ord, she was employed with Penn Security Bank in Scranton before retirement. She was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd, Scranton. A loving wife and a caring person to all, Betty enjoyed traveling and animals, especially the two horses she once raised.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit, to be officiated by the Rev. Howard Stringfellow, arch deacon of the Diocese of Bethlehem.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
