Betty D. Lisk, 81, of South Abington Twp., died Wednesday afternoon at her home. She is the wife of Harold W. Lisk Jr. The couple has been married for 52 years.
Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Nicholas and Elvira DeRosa Dellecave, she was a graduate of West Scranton High School, and was employed by the Abington Heights School District, doing various jobs through the years. Before her retirement, she was a teacher's aide for the school district. She was a member of Our Lady of the Snows Church, Clarks Summit.
Betty loved working with children and spending time with family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Also surviving are two daughters, Lisa Kearney, Factoryville; and Susan Bray and her husband, Steven, North Abington Twp.; a son, William Lisk and his wife, Suzanne, Clarks Summit; two brothers, Nicholas Dellecave and his wife, Pat; and Christopher Dellecave and his wife, Rhoda; both of Lake Sheridan; a sister, Beatrice String and her husband, Walter, Painted Post, N.Y.; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by an infant brother, Salvatore; and a sister, Vera Mellody.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. from Our Lady of the Snows Church, 301 S. State St., Clarks Summit. All those attending are asked to go directly to church. Interment will follow in Cathedral Cemetery in Scranton.
The family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Church of St. Benedict, Newton Ransom Boulevard, Clarks Summit.
