Betty Jane Holden

Betty Jane Holden, 77, of Overfield Township, passed away peacefully on October 25th at Allied Hospice, Scranton.

She was born in Scranton to William and Madeline Clark Snyder. A graduate of Abington Heights High School, Betty Jane was a loving mother, wife, aunt, sister and daughter as well as a loyal and generous friend and neighbor.

Betty Jane is survived by her husband of 58 years, David William Holden, of Lake Winola and her children, Wendy Holden Gavin (David Rubenstein), David Jeffrey Holden (Mary Kay Grochocki) and Timothy Arthur Holden (Allicia Walsh). Her surviving grandchildren are Annabel Gavin, Gabriel Gavin, Ava Holden, Jackson Holden, Colin Holden, Jonathan Holden, Emma Holden and Alexander Holden.

Betty Jane is reunited in death with her beloved grandson, Michael David Gavin.

The family is planning a private Memorial at a later date. Services have been entrusted to Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, Clarks Summit.
