Audrey Dunlop White, age 90, died Monday in the VNA Home and Hospice Unit of Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton. She was a long time resident of Clarks Summit.
Born Audrey Eileen Dunlop to Mary and Robert Dunlop of Clarks Summit, she graduated from Clarks Summit High School and Scranton-Keystone Junior College. Audrey married James F. White in 1944.
She worked for many years at the long established White's Farm in Newton Township, as a floral designer for White's Country Floral, and with long time friends Ed and Helen Hopkins at their greenhouses and at the Scranton Farmers Market. Audrey spent winters in Zephyr Hills, Florida with Ed and Helen Hopkins as well as many other good friends. Audrey was a life long member of the Schultzville United Methodist Church of Clarks Summit, and was deeply involved in its choir and Ladies Auxiliary.
She was predeceased by her husband in 1980; and by their beloved children James Robert White in 2000, William Scott White in 2013 and Shirley White Kvergas also in 2013.
Audrey is survived by her daughter-in-law Maria White; her grandchildren and their spouses; Jeffrey and Stacey White of S. Abington Township, Jennifer and James Michaels of Clarks Summit,
Aaron and Katy Kveragas of Dover, Adam Kveragas of Ashley, Todd White of Clarks Summit, Kathleen Gaul of Clarks Summit, Kristin and Christopher Barrett of Jessup . Also surviving are great grandchildren TJ, Jordan, Jeffrey, Cassie, Hannah, Nadia, Kyle, Kayla, Kaleb and a great great grandchild Chloe.
The funeral service will be held Sunday at 1 p.m. at Countryside Community Church, 14011 Orchard Dr., Clarks Summit. Friends may call at the church from noon until the service. Interment will be private at Abington Hills Cemetery.
