Audrey F. Thomas, Clarks Summit died Wednesday in her home, surrounded by her family. She was the widow of Joseph Thomas who died in 1992.

Born in Dunmore she was the daughter of the late Earnest and Mildred Franc Patterson. She was a very active member of the Clarks Summit United Methodist Church where she was involved in various committees and ran the Country Christmas Craft Show every October. She was also a member of the Clarks Summit Red Hat Society. Prior to her retirement she was a registered nurse for over 42 years.

Audrey was a caring compassionate woman who always had time for her friends. The joy of her life was her family whom she loved so dearly.

Surviving are a daughter Sandra Thomas, Dunmore; three granddaughters ,Tami Mears and husband, Mark, Dickson City; Kristy Crowley and husband, John, Clarks Summit; and Nikki Borradaile and husband, Mike, Broomall ; a great grandson, Logan Mears; and a great granddaughter, Fallynn Borradaile.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Ranocchia.

A funeral service will be Sunday at 1 pm at Clarks Summit United Methodist Church, 1310 Morgan Highway, Clarks Summit, by the Rev. Doug Sivers, pastor. All those attending are asked to go directly to church. Interment will private at the convenience of the family in Dunmore Cemetery.

Friends may call Saturday from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Clarks Summit United Methodist Church.
