Arthur J. Mchale Jr.

Arthur J. McHale Jr., Waverly, died Friday at Geisinger Community Medical Center. His wife is the former Margaret A. Clements. The couple was married in 1963.
Born in Chester, son of the late Arthur Sr. and Helen Gavin McHale, he was the owner of Arthur J. McHale Heating and Air Conditioning before retirement. He served on the board of directors at St. Michael's School for Boys, where he was a former student. Art was a former member of the Glen Oak Country Club. He was a leader of Boy Scout Troop 84, where he was a member of the Order of the Arrow, as well as a football and basketball coach in Scranton.
Arthur was a man of the Catholic faith and a wonderful loving husband, father and grandfather.
Also surviving are a son, Arthur J. McHale III, Waverly; a daughter, Kathy James and her husband, Robert, Byram, N.J.; grandchildren, Christopher R. James, Byram, N.J.; Tara and Casey McMullen, both of Jessup; and a great-granddaughter, Reyna McMullen.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 9:30 a.m. from the Church of St. Gregory, 330 N. Abington Road, Clarks Green. Interment will be in the Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton.
Friends may call Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit.
