Arthur J. Mchale Iii

Arthur J. McHale III, 51, Waverly, died Wednesday December 17 in Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. Born in Perth Amboy, NJ, he was the son of the late Arthur J. McHale, Jr. who died on November 21, and Margaret Clements McHale.

Arthur graduated from Scranton Preparatory School in 1981 then attended Delhi University where he earned a Mechanical Engineering degree. He was associated with his father at Arthur J. McHale Heating & Air Conditioning. Arthur attended St. James Church, Jessup. He was an Eagle Scout, a vigil honor member of the Order of the Arrow, a scouting collector and served as the council historian. He served on numerous training courses including the wood badge course for the 75th anniversary of the Goose Pond Scouting Reservation in 1995. He was very active in the camp and the Order of the Arrow as well as being the recipient of the District Award of Merit. He was also the assistant scout leader for his granddaughter, Reyna's Girl Scout Troop.

Also surviving are two daughters, Tara and Casey McMullen, Jessup; a granddaughter, Reyna McMullen; a sister Kathy James and her husband, Robert and a nephew, Christopher, Byram, N.J as well as an Uncle and numerous cousins.

A Blessing Service will be held on Saturday at 10 am at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit. Interment will follow in Cathedral Cemetery in Scranton.

Friends may call on Friday from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home.
