Arthur Joseph Namiotka, 8o, of Newton Twp., died Tuesday evening at his home. He was the husband of Lenore Winkler Namiotka. The couple had been married for 63 years this past February.

Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Stanley and Victoria Juliano Namiotka. He was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School and honorably served his country in the United States Air Force. Art was a proud member of the Boilermakers Union, Local #13, Philadelphia for over 55 years. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge F&AM # 339 and Our Lady of the Snows Church, Clarks Summit.

Art's passion in life was spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

Also surviving are three sons Larry Namiotka and his wife Jude, Newton; Lee Namiotka, Newton; and Leonard Namiotka and his wife Joan, Scranton; a daughter Nori Price and her husband Dean, Nicholson; a sister Ann Marie Cummings,  Palmyra; four grandsons Ryan and Stephen Namiotka, Jarek Diehl, and Chase Wood; three granddaughters Danielle Kennedy, Kaleigh and Sarah Namiotka; and six great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a grandson Cody Wood and a daughter-in-law Marilee Namiotka.

A mass of Christian burial will be held Monday at 9:30 am from Our Lady of the Snows Church, 301 S. State St. Clarks Summit Pa. 18411, with services by Msgr. Joseph Quinn, Pastor. All those attending are asked to go directly to church for the time of mass. Interment will follow in Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 1 to 5 pm at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 418 S. State St. Clarks Summit Pa. 18411, with Masonic service at 4pm.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Newton Ransom Volunteer Fire Co., 1890 Newton Ransom Blvd. Clarks Summit Pa. 18411.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr Boccagno, Allied Hospice, Telespond and the VA for the exceptional care given.
