Anna Gerrity

_{Anna Gerrity, 89, passed away suddenly, on September 5, 2018.  She was a resident of Clarks Summit, PA for 65 years. .  She was preceeded in death by her husband of 47 years, Joseph Gerrity}

_{Born on May 23, 1929, in Milwaukee, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Anna Marchak. After graduating from Newton-Ransom High School, Anna completed a one-year program at Lackawanna Business School, specializing in secretarial skills.  In 1990, she retired from the International Salt Company, Clarks Summit, PA, where she was employed as Production Assistant.}

_{Anna served as Treasurer for the Abington Junior Women's Club circa 1955, and was a member of the First Christian Church, Scranton, PA, until its dissolution earlier in 2018.  She was a skilled pianist who played at the First Christian Church over the years when needed. In addition to her friends and family, Anna also enjoyed her association with the local Red Hatters group.}

_{She is survived by three children: Joseph Gerrity Jr.  (Carrie), Atlantic Beach, FL , Maggie Felton (Glenn), West Chester, PA and David Gerrity (Louise), Lititz, PA; four grandchildren: Greg Felton, West Chester, PA, Kerry Felton, Wilmington, DE, Nora Gerrity, Vienna, VA, and Rachel Gerrity, Williamsburg, VA.}

_{Also preceding her in death were siblings: Myron Marchak, Susan Kyzemienski, and Rene Childress.}

_{A memorial service is planned for Saturday, September 29 at 11 am, at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit, PA.}

_{The family will be receiving friends from 10-11 am prior to the service.}
