Ann-Marie Mendez, of Clarks Summit, died Wednesday January 27 2010,
after a courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). She was the
wife of Wilfred Mendez.
Born in the Bronx, NY, on February 28 1957, she was the daughter of Ann
Marie Cederle of Bayonet Point Fl. and the late Andrew Cederle. She grew
up on Long Island and attended the state University of New York at
Oswego. She married Wilfred Mendez in 1982 and eventually moved to
Bayonet Point Fl., where they opened a small grocery business. A 15-year
resident of Clarks Summit, Mrs. Mendez was a bank executive working for
several companies, including Marine Midland and NatWest banks. As a vice
president of funds transfer and operations, she led several bank
consolidations following mergers and acquisitions. She left her bank
position after being diagnosed with MS about 15 years ago and spent much
of her time working as a volunteer to help raise money to fight the
disease. Ann-Marie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter,
sister, and accomplished bank executive.
Also surviving are three daughters Mrs. Erica DeLuca, of Salisbury Mills
NY; Mrs. Michele Fagan, of Newburgh NY; and Ms. Jessica Mendez, of
Clarks Summit; three sisters, Mrs. Kathy DeFillippo, of Succasunna NJ;
Ms. Laura Fiorillo, Bayonet Fl.; and Mrs. Carolyn Teegarden, Hudson Fl.;
and a brother, Mr. Andrew Cederle, Centerville, VA. In addition Mrs.
Mendez was loved by her three grandchildren, Marisa and Samantha Fagan,
of Newburgh NY and Michael DeLuca, of Salisbury NY.
The funeral will be Monday morning with mass at 9:30 am at our Lady of
the Snows Church, S. State St Clarks Summit, Interment will be private.

418 S. State St. Clarks Summit.
Those attending the funeral mass are requested to go directly to the
