Ann L. Davis, 89, of South Abington Township, died at home on Monday evening. Her husband was James Davis, who died in 1996.

Born in Karthaus, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Aloysius and Monica Frelin Liegey. She was a graduate of Saint Vincent in Erie and worked as a nurse, primarily in New York City. An avid reader, Ann enjoyed traveling and had a passion for baking and cooking. She especially enjoyed making dinner every Sunday for her family.

Surviving are daughters Catherine Davis Lilik and husband Joe, Dickson City, and Suzanne Davis Sullivan and husband Brian, Poughkeepsie; son James Davis and wife Claire, Clarks Green; granddaughters Amanda Webber and Sarah Pasqua; and great grandchildren Lucus, Madison, and Olivia.

Ann was preceded in death by grandchildren Timothy Sullivan and Jennifer Lilik; brother Dennis Liegey; and sister Catherine Kadison.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Snows Church, 301 S. State Street, Clarks Summit by Msgr. Michael J. Delaney, pastor. Friends may call at Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 418 S. State Street, Clarks Summit on Thursday from 9 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. A private interment will be held at a later date at Clarks Green Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Ann's name may be made to the Abington Community Library, 1200 W. Grove St., Clarks Summit, PA 18411.

The family would like to thank Sacred Heart Hospice and Ann's caregivers, Donna and Tammy, for the care and support shown to her.
