A very generous and kind woman, she was also strong, spirited and adventurous. She possessed a great love for life, and could brighten a room with just her smile. Ann had many true friends throughout her life, and she will be dearly missed by so many.
Surviving are her six children, Dr. Donna Piazza Lofgren, Marshfield, Mass.; Linda Piazza Murray and husband, Steve, Delray Beach, Fla.; Vincent Piazza Jr. and wife, Marcel Piazza, Clarks Summit; Dr. Michael and wife, Kristina Piazza, Largo, Fla.; Debbie Piazza Rarrick, Clarks Summit; and Richard and wife, Maryanne Piazza, Dunmore; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret Fredmonski, Moosic; and Rita Patterson, Bristol; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Robert "Bobby" Piazza, son of Vincent and Marcy Piazza, Clarks Summit; an infant grandson, son of her daughter, Dr. Donna Lofgren; and two brothers-in-law, Adam Fredmonski and Arnold Patterson.
The deepest appreciation comes from all the brothers and sisters to Ann's youngest and most adored son, Richard Piazza. We will be forever grateful to Rick for the boundless love, dedication and kindness that he provided while caring for our mother during the end of her life. Rick is, in our eyes, a true saint. We truly believe, that for the endless hours of selfless care that he provided "Mom," our Lord will surely bless him throughout the rest of his days.
The family would also like to express sincere gratitude for the compassionate care provided by Dr. Kurt Moran, as well as the care, support and kindness provided by her nurses, Jean Hayes, R.N., and Anita Kerns, L.P.N.
