Ana Nimmerfroh

Ana Nimmerfroh, Clarks Summit, died in her home Friday morning after a long battle with cancer.  She was the wife of Josef Nimmerfroh for over 53 years.

She was born in Ecuador, then came to the U.S., where she got a job sewing clothing at a factory in New York City. She then met and married her loving husband and they moved to Pennsylvania to raise their daughter and son.  She was also a devoted member of Our Lady of the Snows Church.

Ana was a bright and lively person who took special joy in talking with others. She loved to crochet and make everyone beautiful gifts. She especially enjoyed her time with her crochet group at Abington Senior Center.

Also surviving are a daughter, Nancy Fazio and husband James of Clarks Summit, PA; a son Fred Nimmerfroh of Factoryville, PA:  grandsons Jimmy Fazio and wife Krisztina of West Chester, PA and Luke Fazio of Anchorage, AK; a granddaughter Emily Fazio of Clarks Summit, PA; a sister Mariana Elisa Moreta Gaibor of Ecuador, SA; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Doctor Stephen Jaditz, Hospice of the Sacred Heart, and Home Instead.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of the Snows Church, 301 S. State Street, Clarks Summit, on Wednesday morning at 9:30 a.m., with services by Monsignor Joseph G. Quinn, pastor.  Entombment will be at Glenwood Mausoleum.  Friends may call on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 418 S. State Street, Clarks Summit. Due to COVID-19, masks will be required for all who attend and only a limited number of people will be permitted inside the funeral home at one time.
