Alma Nancarrow, 97, formerly of Clarks Summit died last Thursday at the Lackawanna County Health Care Center in Olyphant. She was the widow of Fred H. Nancarrow who died September 15, 1997.
Born on August 16, 1910, daughter of the late Adam and Mary Dropunski Yearing. For many years she served as a tax collector for the Clarks Summit Borough. She was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Scranton.
Surviving is a daughter, Barbara J. Nancarrow, Clarks Summit, a granddaughter, Katheryn Kern Buckley, Dunmore and three great grandchildren, Brial, Anya, and Ian.
A memorial service will be held private at the convenience of the family in St. Lukes Episcopal Church in Scranton, with services by the Rev. Peter D'Angio, Rector.
Arrangements by the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit.
